The Gift of Time...
Try to keep up with Sarah's activity schedule. Watch the pleasure Miriam gets from her time in the computer room. Join a religious service provided by Maury and Rachel. All of these activities are made possible by the investment of resources by members of our community.
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. From organizing recreational activities to responding to the spiritual needs of residents, your time is an essential gift to this community. Our volunteers discover that service to the elders brings a new meaning to their lives as well as providing an essential service to our residents. We invite you to become a part of our future by becoming a stakeholder in Cedar Sinai Park today.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT CEDAR SINAI PARK
GROUP ACTIVITIES:
Lead or Assist with Sing-a-Longs, Gardening, Ceramics, Exercise,
Crafts, Games, Reminiscence Groups, Music Therapy, Sensory
Groups, Parties, Shabbat & Holiday Services, Discussion Groups,
Current Events, Baking, Storytelling, Beading
OUTINGS:
Lunch Outings, Shopping Trips, Community Events, Beach Trip,
Scenic Drives and other Misc. outings
ONE ON ONE ACTIVITIES:
Social visits, Read Aloud to Residents, Letter Writing, Wheelchair
Rides, Accompany on walks, Sensory Stimulation, Comfort Care Visitor
OFFICE DUTIES:
Data Entry, Organization, Preparation for Upcoming Craft Projects,
Bulletin Boards, sorting vidoes/CDs to be labeled, shopping for activity
supplies, personal shopping for RSM residents
EVENING ACTIVITIES:
Bingo callers and helpers, Gather for Entertainment, Help with
Special Events and Parties
